so I figured I would create a thread to talk about our farm and all the babies living here. so a little bit about me I am an animal lover who lives in NY on a 10.18-acre property almost all of it is wetlands there is an island we call trash island we have a bridge to. I hate to see animals being abused or hurt due to this most of our pets are rescues. anyways feel free to ask questions.

19 guinea fowl - not gonna name them all
4 chickens - lacy, amber,whitney, Greta
3 ducks - daisy, poppy, pipsqueak
1 dog - foxy
1 rabbit - Emma
1 guinea pig - cookie
2 house cats - milo, marshmallow
3 barn cats - Salem,boots, socks

Thanks for starting this thread @african chickens ! It truly is terrible to see any animal abused, neglected or suffering...that's how we got most of our urban zoo as well😅

I can't wait to hear more about yours and everyone else's farms, flocks, and zoos!

Are there any special rescue stories behind your babies?
 
thanks, everyone I will share the stories of each of our rescue babies.
we will start with foxy she is a 5-year-old Arabian village dog as her
DNA results show we got her imported from Jordan after a rescue group watched kids toss her around and cut her ear off with a pair of scissors. She is a very special dog my parents decided to take her when our last dog started getting older since I was scared to not have a dog.

You have a heart of gold, giving creatures a second chance at life is the most honorable act of kindness. 💗
It makes me sad that there are animals that need to be rescued, but it warms my heart that there are people, like you, who will move heaven and earth to save them.

Your menagerie sounds wonderful!
im no angel or hero i hope to help more someday but I'm just one person
