Swollen eye,please help!

Anyone knows what’s wrong with my hen eye? And how do I treat it?
Sometimes it’s shut completely
There’s no nasal discharge.
Other side of eye is normal
Is it contagious to other chickens?
She’s isolated

What is your location in the world? Do you have mosquitoes out now? Does she sneeze or have crackles when breathing? The picture is not in focus, but does she have bubbles in her eye? She could have a respiratory infection, such as MG, or she might have been pecked or scratched her eye. Hard to know for sure. I would be tempted to treat her for MG with Tylosin powder in her water, or another antibiotic that treats MG. You can rinse her eye with saline, and put a small dab of antibiotic ointment into the eye twice a day.

Hi,we do have lots of mosquitoes i am treating her and few others with terranycin ointment and iodine and she and other are feeling better .I am also advised to put peppercorns in feed so that is helping as well.

What are the peppercorns for? They would not help a respiratory infection.
