Hey all!
My favorite hen HeiHei is looking a bit funny in the face. I’m unsure of what the problem is and my Google searches come up empty. But her eyes almost look swollen, her face changes from really red to pale, and she keeps falling asleep when I hold her. She almost looks sleep deprived, like she has bags under her eyes. I was wondering if anyone knew what was going on?

It's likely a respiratory disease. Sort of like the common cold in humans. Get some Tylan 50 and give it orally at around .5ml twice a day for five days. If the swelling worsens and you see pus around the edge of the eyes, it could be coryza and require a different antibiotic if the Tylan isn't improving things.

Okay! Where can I find this?

I'm very sure it's Mycoplasma infection i read about this in many sites you need taylan or Baytril 10%
I think Baytril is very good towards Mycoplasma but it's not recommended for egg laying hens
So tylan is good option also u can use neodox (neomycin + doxycycline) it's also very good in Mycoplasma

Okay! Where could I get oral tylan ? And how should I give it to my chickens? I have one bantam and one normal

Look at Tractor Supply if you're in the US. Or order it here. https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E07BC1-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5

It will come in a vial and a needle syringe will be required to extract the dose. It's .1ml per pound of body weight. Once the syringe is filled with the proper dose, twist off the needle and use the syringe as an oral syringe. Pry open the beak and insert it in the mouth like this. View attachment 3171189
Okay! Would Corrid work as well?
