Hi I am new, I'm happy to join
And to be part of this community I hope I can learn a lot from all the experience of all the member's of this community.

With that been said. I have a situation with one of my chickens that has a swollen foot on the bottom. I have checked and can't see any injury or anything, her feet feels hot to the touch, I have been treating her like if she has bumblefoot. I has been a week of treatment I I just don't see any improvement. What can I do to help my pour chicken

Welcome! We'd be happy to try and help! Can you include pictures of the foot both from the top and the bottom please? Also what breed and average weight of the chicken, how high is the roost (how far do they have to jump down and what is the flooring/bedding), what is their diet, any limping or favoring of that foot by the chicken? Thank you.

I'll get some pics from her foot later after work. Weight all not sure but she is a big girl. She started limping but now she avoids walking. As far as diet it's just Purina chicken layer feed and some food scraps from when my wife cooks which are usually vegetable.

Green skin can be bruising as well. The one toe looks enlarged, so it might be broken or sprained. It could be early gout as well. Time will tell. There is a break in the skin on the foot pad so the start of bumblefoot, but very mild now. You could do some soaks in warm Epsom salts for 15 minutes daily to the feet.

If the toe is broken, and not staying in normal position, you could splint it. Seeing how you are holding it, and she's not protesting, I don't think it looks broken. Unless it's a non displaced fracture. If it's not displaced, then splinting is iffy, might cause more problems. More swelling could cause the splint to get too tight and cut off circulation, so if you decide to do that, you need to check it often. I also wonder about gout. I would continue the soaks, they won't hurt anything and might help. Sprains and strains can take weeks to months to resolve sometimes. I would continue to treat those small lesions, so they don't get worse. The soaks will help with those too. They can be very slow to resolve.
