Hello all,
We have our first batch of 12 chicks (4 black and 2 blue Australorps) and 6 Easter Eggers (supposed to be all pullets) from a local feed store that got them from Ideal. I've read many, many of the threads discussing early sexing techniques and one of the ones that comes up a lot is tail feathers. The chicks are now a week old, and all but one of them have tail feathers. Are early tail feathers a pretty good indication that they are pullets?
