I have 3 golden laced Wyandottes, they are now 2.5 months old. I already gave back 1 that we determined to be a rooster. I thought that I had all hens left but the teal tail feathers have me thrown. Does anyone know if hens can have the teal tail feathers too? I've only seen teal on roosters. Here is a picture of it..(it's the bigger one next to the dog lol) and here's another I took today.

Probably need to post better pics for people to help. Top one looks roosterish to me but I am not the best one to ask. Its tail feathers look roo like.

The one in the back on the second pic looks female to me. But again I am not a good one to answer your post. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

Yes, the one in the back is definitely a female. No red on her face at all..the other 2 both have the colorful tails (teal) and red on their faces). Here's another picture of "him"

Looks very rooish to me...so much so even with limited experience i am fairly sure. I wish PeakyBeaky would chime she raises Wyandottes and is very good at sexing them and gives good info. Possibly you may want to PM her with pics and ask her opinion?
