I have read in the threads of Backyardchickens .com that someone had organic Wal-Mart eggs and put them in an incubator and they hatched. I had an hatching egg supplier back out of sending me a dozen eggs that I paid for 47 days prior. I had the space in the incubator for a dozen eggs and I decided to try and hatch the cold Wal-Mart organic eggs.
I bought one dozen organic eggs from Wal-Mart at $4.18 per dozen, and I numbered them #29-#40. I bought them at 0511 and they set out for 12 hours to warm up.
I did not play mix and match because I was in a hurry, but if it works the next hatch I will play mix and match looking for darker brown eggs.
I will post pics once I figure out how to and I will post the candling reports of The Great Wal-Mart Organic Eggs Experiment at 7 and 14 days.
They are on the back two rows, the darker eggs.
