The new coop is close to being finished

Lovely coop. We had 70 feet of cedar fencing cone down in a storm a few years ago and my coop is built entirely of those fence pickets. Feels good to use what would otherwise be waste.

Wow, looks good. You might want to put hardware cloth behind those windows though, for safety.

Are you thinking something might fly in or out? The larger ones are double pane and the five vertical ones are double strength glass (they were shelves in a store downtown).

Coop windows need to open in spring/summer. We made interior removable screens in wood frames attached with wood turnbuckles---one layer of hardware cloth and one layer of regular window screening for bugs. HIGHLY advise.
