The Not So Secret Society of Chicken Keepers

Pics
Here is my flock of 13 chickens
4 pure bantams - Pekin and Japanese bantam
2 mix breeds that I hatched from eggs from my Isa Brown Rooster with Silver laced Wyandotte and Isa Brown hens
2 Wyandottes
2 Isa brown hens
1 Australorp bantam
1 ...not know what breed she is as I got her from a rescue farm.
1 Ply Rock - The biggest hen and the bully, prefer human to chicken and she makes sweet sound when she talks and she does talk a great deal. She makes sound as if she has a deep sadness that no one understand. I tried, but I am not fluent in Chicken complex language. I do my best to learn more.
Life is good with chickens!

I woke up early today, it is 4:30am over here, it is still dark and quiet. I am reading this post and so enjoy looking at your chicken photos. Your flock is beautiful.
Looking at your flock photos bring a smile on my face, I am contented. 🌻

Thank you!
Im glad it made you happy.
They certainly do for me with their unique personalities!

Chickens certainly have unique personalities, no 2 chickens are alike.
I have been asked many times about how many eggs I get each day, and I replied that if having chickens is for the sole purpose of eggs, then it is cheaper to buy eggs at the shop. There are cost and lots of work involve in raising chickens, and eggs might not come every day.
Chickens are therapy, they bring good health, and they certainly make me feel loved. I feel loved for being loved by my chickens. ❤️:celebrate
