Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. We have been dealing with teeny white (I think they are mites) bugs which were infesting the laying house. We finished removing the entire house today and we have built just a small nesting box to replace it. I have inspected my chickens frequently, and they do not seem to be being bitten at all. The bugs frequently were crawling on my husband and I after collecting eggs and we have not been bitten either. Could this be some sort of mite that infests the wood of the coop? Has anyone experienced this? I have Sevin powder and am prepared to dust, but I am hesitant to do so if it is not needed. This has been going on for nearly two months, and the girls skin looks completely unaffected. Thanks for any advice!
