I live in Southwest Montana. Winters here are mostly dry snow, but very cold. Almost every day is below 30 degrees, and we go weeks at a time under 0 degrees, sometimes days in a row between 0 to -20 degrees.

Do you have any tips for this harsh of a cold?

-Food supplementation (black sunflower seed/whole corn/rolled oat)?
-Heating coop safely with a permeant chain mounted heat red lamp with cage far away from flammables?
-Exactly how much ventilation? How much is too much? My coop's ventilation is on the non-predominant wind side for extra warmth. 1.5'x5' vent for a 7x7 coop.
-Should I add anything to my DLM bedding?
-They have a 60 SF outdoor covered run.
-Tips for water (I am going to buy an electric water unit from the feed store)
-Any way I can add something to their life thorough winter to lay at least a little?
