We hatched some chicks from our flock about a month ago. I’m not exactly sure which rooster fertilized the Polish egg but it was either a Copper Maran or an Olive Egger. We did not noticed this before now & I feel like we would have as we have put on & changed bands on their legs to help us keep track. The toe doesn’t look like it received an injury but maybe it did & the toenail was ripped mostly off & is a variation of ingrown? It now growing sideways through the toe. Chick was walking fine on it but understandably squawky when you try & hold her foot still. Seems to be only a little more so than the others but notable. Has anyone seen this? Anything I should be doing other than observing her?
