I know these coops are pretty rare in the US, but figured I would ask anyway. Has anybody put a more traditional auto door on a Nestera coop? I like everything about this coop except the guillotine style door. I'm curious if anybody had figured out a way to modify the door or found a door big enough to cover the front hole.

That thing scares the whee out of me! Following.

(I intend to attach a sort of aviary/open roost to the Nestera at some point this summer to expand their hang-out space, and I'll remove the door when that happens.)

(And then Perris will scold me for compromising the Nestera's resistance to red mites. Can't win, lol.)

I have had these coops since 2017 and no chicken has been harmed by the door. It might look like a guillotine, but the supplied cord is strong and won't break. And anyway it weighs very little, so even if it did fall while a chicken was walking through, I don't think it would even ruffle a feather!
