Can goats like a full grown Nubian be transported in the back of an SUV?

Thanks

It can be possible if you can get him to stand still or lay down.. It will smell icky! Put a tarp under him to catch you know!! How far are you going? Susan

About 20 miles, I have a trailer but I lent it to my brother and he's two hours away and using it all week. Goat is free .... so hoping to get if for my neighbor for weed control... it's actually two of them. But I'd do separate trips if needed....

Yeah I used to have a little red nissan pulsar hatchback, and I frequently transported goats on the back seat. Most of them sat down after we got going a bit. Couple stood up. I had one very large dairy doe (bigger than a full grown nubian) who loved the car, would jump in on command and sit down, then look out the windscreen - where we going mum?

Now I have a truck it makes things significantly cleaner ... the goats miss the car though lol

I brought my full grown Nubian doe home in the back of our minivan. I put down a large piece of plastic with some straw on it and she did just great. I did have to put a divider between us (I used a big cooler) as she wanted to come up and 'drive' with me!

The young ones I could see putting in a small car. I was really surprised to see how small goats really were. (I thought they'd be bigger somehow).

I got lucky though. My neighbor down the street had a cattle rack (not sure what you call it. But its for cattle and it slides into your truck bed) that he no longer used. He mentioned that he was going to sell it so I asked him how much. He gave it to me for free.

It's old, rusty, but in good working condition. A little bit of work and a couple cans of rustoleum and it'll be as good as new!

I brought home 2 yearlings (full size) in the back of my minivan. I laid a tarp down first then a couple of my "dog blankets" on top. They just laid down for most of the trip, only getting up at red lights to look out.

I have hauled alot of goats in the back of my surburban and its so much easier than hitching up the trailer to do this. I have put them in the front of the truck also...I just remove the very back seat in my suburban and it works out great. Most of them when you start moving lay down anyway...
