Treat Impacted Crop

Hey all;

I have a chicken, that I believe, has an impacted crop. I noticed it a day or two ago. Last night, I checked the crop and it was rather firm. I massaged it for a bit; the put the bird down. Last night, I took away the food, when they roosted for the night. This morning, I checked and it went down a LITTLE, but it’s still sticking out a bit. I went ahead and separated the bird, so that I can feed the others. Am I off? If not, how do you guys treat it???

Up to you whether to keep the bird separated while you address the crop problem, I never withhold food/water and leave the bird with their flock unless they are being picked at.
