On day 19 of a coturnix hatch. We set 75 shipped eggs and 43 home grown jumbos on 6/1. The GoF bator started hatching on day 15 while pips seemed to just have been starting yesterday for the farm innovator. I’m assuming the temps were lower in the second which slowed down the hatch?

Just wanted to see if any other possible causes may exist. The GoF bator had 50-some eggs and I selected the larger ones as my turner was a regular sized rather than a quail turner as in the FI. Chicks seem to be perfect so far out of both.

Did you mix both kinds of eggs in both incubators? If yes, the different hatching dates are probably due to the incubator conditions.

But if each incubator has just one kind of egg, there might be some difference in the eggs or the chicks that is causing the difference in hatch times. (Or it might still be caused by the incubator.)
