Is this like the ugly duckling. One day he will grow up to be a beautiful turkey or something like that.

The ugliest rooster I ever had "Silver" When I got him, he was molting and had lice. He always looked like he was not wearing pants. He had a green egg gene.

I wanted gray eggs, so I took a guess and bred him to a pink egglayer.
After he bred with the hen I wanted him to, I got rid of him, because he was just gross. The song on the radio was "I am Silverman." I felt bad.
His genes created the prettiest bird I ever had. Who laid a gray egg.

Don't discount the ugly birds.
