Hatching

We had a momma sitting on eggs up to 2 weeks ago then she stopped so we brought them in to incubate. One hatched in middle of night. With the yoke sac not absorbed first pic is what fell off earlier. 2nd pic is what it looks like now? Hatching was unassisted but may have been prematurely. Is there anything we can do? We've moved the baby to clean soft brooder with heat. Baby is chirping and moving around but wobbly. Not eating or drinking yet. We cleaned up the gross stuff stuck to the baby that smelt foul. And put vetericyn spray on. Thank you
First time incubating and having an issue.

Definitely a bit premature, but you’re doing a good job. Vetericyn spray is good. Best to keep baby as warm and dry as possible, like you’re doing.

Generally, it takes about 1 day for ducklings to get their footing, and usually they can safely go 1 - 2 days without food or drink, but since some yolk was unabsorbed, I’d try to get baby eating and drinking a little sooner. You could make a mash with food and a little bit of water and offer it on your finger.
