Normally i give my chickens wild bird feed as a snack but i couldn't get any this time.
So i got them some " Universal Blend Nutrient rich food for small birds like canary's, parakeets, etc.)
They seem to really like it as a treat and it says that its good for plumage and health.
This would be ok to feed to chickens as a treat right? Its for small birds so i don't know how it could be dangerous, but i thought i'd still ask.

I would bet it doesn't have enough protein for chickens. They need a minimum of 16 % protein. For instance, scratch grains which is for chickens as a treat only has about 8 or 9% protein. Really they don't require anything but layer feed or flock raiser for a complete diet.

"it says that its good for plumage and health."

I'd say that too if I were trying to sell it to you.
What matters is the nutrition label.
It's probably about half the protein a chicken needs
