So I had a tiny chick named sprout that came from my Boyfriends chickens. What we believe happened was it hatched and hurt it's eyes on the egg shell but it's siblings pecked at them so they got taken out and given to me! We found out it was a girl, took care of her and shes almost/about a month old! Well some stuff has gone down... Very tragically my Boyfriends chickens and chicks were attacked by two big dogs while he was out. (These dogs had been seen roaming his neighborhood before.) His mom informed him when he came back that none of the chickens made it, except for one chick. He was distraught (Still is) and called me to let me know, and I offered to take their chick. I went to go pick him up and helped grab their chicken stuff and we went to go wash off their water, the coop was cleaned up of the poor chickens but the coop was completely destroyed. Like the back of the wire was busted inwards, the coop door was also busted in, there was a hole busted in the floor in their coop, like it was bad. (Context, he had all silkys so his coop was small) Luckly we're almost 100% sure it was all quick so none of the chickens suffered, but now Sprout has a buddy, My boyfriend is feeling a bit better, and the little guy (or girl) is going to be named Butter or Rose. I'll post a photo of the two in the morning. I just thought this was worth updating and also to help inform people to watch out for dogs and stop them from coming near before it's too late. There was nothing my Boyfriend could have done, but still be aware. (These dogs also are owned by someone, which is messed up.) Goodluck taking care of chicks, chickens, and the coop! Have a great day, bye!

Tell your boyfriend to file a police report. Dogs that are unleashed and killing livestock is illegal. Where I live if a dog is caught chasing livestock or wild animals they can be shot it’s taken that seriously here.
Yeah, their filing a lawsuit. They not only killed Livestock but also destroyed their property. All caught on camera too.

Additional information: Their filing a lawsuit against the owners. Sadly, the dogs also attacked someone nearby and killed 7 other chickens and bit a horse. (I don't currently know which happened first) I'll keep everyone informed if anything happens!
