My 7 month old silkie pullet was on her side looking very much dead until I picked her up, at which point she moved her wing and leg. I put her near some grass and she started eating it. Put some feed in front and she is eating that too. But she is still on her side like this.

Her eyes look clear. Her vent looks a bit weird. It has been very rainy here so hard to tell if her butt is dirty just from the mud or also poo.

Is she unable to stand? How has she been acting recently, any changes in behavior before this?

I’ve had a bird dropped by a hawk and paralyzed by the incident. There’s a chance something similar happened to your pullet- check her for other injuries

They are in a fully enclosed run so no hawk drops. (She is outside with me at them moment to keep the others from bothering her.) she can’t balance if I stand her up. She teeters, then kinda sits, then falls over. She is kicking her right leg and squawking trying to right herself.

No injuries as far as I can tell. Nothing visible and no reaction when I handled her legs, wings, body.

Was she vaccinated for Mareks? Unfortunately that sounds like a real possibility here… this would be the first symptom usually.

Not really. Shes been one of the last ones out of the coop but once she’s out she’s walking around and eating with the rest of them

Yes, I paid for the vaccination when I ordered them from Cackle
Unfortunately they can still become sick even when vaccination, and silkies in particular are especially vulnerable to the disease. I would get her tested asap.
