This morning i noticed something off abt my 5-6 days old wood duckling who’s mom abandoned him. He’s usually super lively and jumping around, but now he’s super lethargic and all day he hasn’t been able to open his right eye. It’s been getting worse and worse. He’s lost his balance (prolly cuz of his eye) and barely walks around. I got him to eat and drink, and filled up my sink with warm water and put a few drops of nutridrench for him. He drank but definitely wasn’t as lively in the water as he usually is. I put him back in his brooder with his baby chicken friends and went intimately to sleep. I also tried giving him a little honey for a sugar boost but he didn’t seem interested in the mysterious substance lol. Please someone tell me what might be wrong. I have some idea what maybe caused it but i have no idea for sure. I kept him and the chicks in a huge incubator for eggs, maybe it got too stuffy in there with the poop and all? Could it be the fact that i’m temporarily feeding him adult game bird feed?
