May I ask for the main purpose of this sling Is for? I have a 7 week old baby check? That somehow flew up in the fan and broke her hip bone. The vet said there was nothing they could do about it. Any suggestions for helping it heal correctly and pain?

The sling chair I made, which is one post ahead of yours, I made for a day old chick with rotated tibias. The chair gave him a chance to get the top half of his body upright and strengthen his upper leg muscles.
In your poor chick's case, I'd immobilize the hip in place with vet wrap and make a similar sling chair contraption to help it eat and drink and get upright for its growth. You will need bigger items than the toe of an old sock and a 4.5 inch orchid pot cut in half though. 😆
I would make a PVC frame with some old socks tied in an X to support the body and take the weight off the hip. There are lots of examples online. Google chicken therapy chair and you'll get ideas. They don't look hard to make with about $10 in PVC pipe and elbows.

Good luck! I hope your baby gets better!

Ty, Do you have any suggestions of how to wrap her leg that far Up at the hip area? the only vet I could find to take her to said it wasn't possible, because it's thicker At the top, then it is down her leg. But if you could somehow tell me in detail how to rap her leg, I would and we greatly appreciate it.?

Ok. I've been reading a lot about this. You shouldn't wrap it. You could set the bone in the wrong place. However, the chair is a good way for her to keep weight off the leg. She should heal up and just have a limp. Did the vet give you anti inflammatories for pain? Those will help the healing process. A lot of people will say to cull her. I wouldn't unless she becomes lathargic and shows lack of interest in eating and drinking. Good luck! I hope she heals up.
