Southern Ontario
I live in the very southern parts of Ontario, south of London—in Chatham-Kent. I need a veterinarian, but can’t find any clinics that take in poultry! I cannot go to Windsor, and there’s a slim chance that I can head as far as London. Does anyone know of any vets that see poultry in the Chatham-Kent and or St. Clair area? *Not America*

If you haven't already done so, you could try posting on the Canadian thread: Canada

Good luck!

Hi, I am sad to hear this same old story of a lack of Vets for poultry here in Ontario.

I am an hr north of T.O. and my Vet sees poultry. In fact she has her own flock, and is licensed to deal with poultry through Ag Canada.

Though I am sure it’s long past your needing a Vet now and it is a rather long drive for you to get here, my Vet may have contacts in that area.

Please feel free to contact me any time though a private msg.

The chicken that required a vet I’ve managed to figure out on my own, luckily! And now she is a very pampered house chicken I’m convinced is faking her disability to stay inside—as in, had wry neck and now only has her head down/crooked whenever I point out the fact her head is up and she’s happily eating and drinking on her own, even laying an egg on occasion.

Thank you for replying, I may keep this in mind for the future in case something happens. So far everyone is well and I have no concerns! 🩵

That’s wonderful! Wry neck in youngsters is generally a vitamin deficiency, in adults it’s usually a neurological issue - head or neck injury.

Ok glad she is doing well ♥️
