So I don't know call me crazy, but I need to share something. I knew NOTHING about chickens or even how to take care of a baby chick. So I like many of you google every single day all day long looking for help and answers to every thing I had a question for. Anyways YOUTUBE helped a lot too...
THEN....I started to play videos for my baby chick because I figured since I was human and he was a chicken and I knew soon one day he would mingle with the others I get him used to it, so I would play backyard chickens no crowing and he would watch it and peck my phone. I played hens mating calls and watched his reaction, played baby chick sounds and even played "music to relax chicken" BUT there is one that for some reason it works on making them quiet and just still. I didn't think much when I just played it for my baby but when I played it for a chick I had to help because it was getting picked on, it had the same effect. Now I am helping someone with 3 babies and it works with them too. So I would like to share this all with you and hopefully you leave some feedback.
