Crowing
I just hatched a chick for the first time and it was an awesome experience! I wasn't planning on hatching eggs but my beloved rooster passed away which left me devastated. As a way for him to sort of live on a wanted to try and hatch out some chicks while my hens eggs were still fertile.
He was my only rooster so I knew all chicks would be his. I bought a small incubator online and began incubating 5 eggs. all started developing, however, about half way through incubation all but 1 stopped growing.
I was left with the one egg and It ended up hatching Exactly 72 hours ago!
I don't know the gender yet and I'm really hoping It's a roo!
If it is a roo I want to name it after it's father. (or some variation of his name) "Mr. Frank Mosasaur" wierd name I know, I let my brother give him a name when I got him a few years ago and He chose the name of his favorite dinosaur. a few months later I decided Mr. Mosasaur needed a first name and that's how he got his name.
I'm aware my name choices are odd lol. Please choose one name for if its a boy, and one for if it's a girl. I'll update in about 4-6 weeks.
Here is a photo of said chick:
