Hi all! This might be in the wrong forum, but...
Are any of you planning or training to walk your chicken on a leash!? Pretty crazy idea, but it seems fun! This could be useful when you're taking your chickens to an event.
Here are the basics!
First, you have to put a chicken saddle or a blanket on her/him daily, for it to get used to the feeling of something on its back. She/he'll will freak out at first, but after a couple of weeks or so, you can get a chicken harness online. Or you can use a small dog or cat leash. Just loosely hold the leash and follow the chicken wherever it goes. Give a few minor corrections. After a few days of that, start pulling lightly on the leash and holding out your hand in a welcoming manner.
This might be a strange thing to do, but it could be useful! :thumbsup

hi there!
If you go too the search option and type in leash training you will find a lot of people's similar stories.
You mind find a few helpful tips too.
Good luck.

I sometimes walk my chickens on a leash. They don't like it so I don't do it often. I sometimes like to strap other things to them, too, like a camera. Perhaps if I walk them on a leash more often they won't pull on the leash so much and try to get away.:)

:D Well, chickens are all different! It's creative to strap a camera on them!
