Has anyone tried the Happy Egg Company Egg layer feed? They sell the bags for 10 dollars for 20lbs so the price isnt too bad.

I tried the other Walmart feed called Family Farm & Home. The chickens eat it and seem to like it. It sure is nice to order chicken food online and have it delivered for free.Has anyone tried the Happy Egg Company Egg layer feed? If you actually price it out to 50lbs it's more expensive than flockraiser. Weird. Not the best quality I do scratch and peck starter mixed with henhouse reserve. I will test it out my post review. The price alone would turn me away. You simply cannot get quality feed for that price. I wouldn't buy it.
For commercial mixes, I only feed formulas designed for mixed flocks. The calcium content for a mixed flock feed should be 0.6 - 1.0%. The protein content should be 18-20% and ideally contain some animal protein.
It isn't just the nutrition assay you want to look at but where the ingredients are sourced that is important.
