I have three charming mixed breed bachelor roosters who keep my goats company.

Spring has come, though, and the boys are squabbling a little bit. I would like 3 or more well behaved young ladies to keep them company. Preferred breeds are Australorp, Black Sexlink, Jersey Giant, Wellsummer, Black EE, or mixes with dominant black or partridge colors. Prefer not to travel too far, if possible. I'm also watching Iwanna and Craigslist and will be attending Cagles livestock auction in the next few weeks (not this weekend, though, as we are building a pen).

For three boys you need many more then 3 hens. Good Luck finding some there should be some available this time of year. I suggest you get at least 15 hens as to not have any get to warn out by the roosters.

We've done alright with pairs in the past, though note I said: three or more. lol Guys who are penned, we overwhelm with ladies.
Like their fathers, Edgar, Al, and Poe have plenty of room to roam and get along reasonably well together. These guys are actually the progeny of one pet Austrolorp hen and various roosters.

I think it all depends on the rooster I have one faverolles cock who only fertilizes about 2 or 3 of his 5 or 6 ladies one one who was overbreeding his hens when he had 5 or 6. So I guess its personalized.
