Howdy,
for the past few months I’ve had a 5 year old barred rock slowly loose more and more weight. She is now only skin and bones at this point.
In the fall I noticed her lethargy, not really eating unless I gave her wet food and separated her from the other girls. But with the cold I’ve had her in my basement alone for months. She has been eating and most of her feathers have fully grown in.
I’ve given her higher protein pellets, but still after all this time she is skinny and I can feel her keel bone very prominently. She had trouble standing or even walking around and Lila limos around.
Anyone know what could have caused this or what I can do to help her? I don’t know if euthanasia is the way to go but at this point it is what makes her comfortable.
Thanks
