Watched PBS Natural History of the Chicken on Netflix

You have to love how it says NOTHING about the actual natural history of the chicken. Doesn't even discuss regular backyard flocks.

I'd seen it years ago and rewatched it a few months ago on Netflix. It was even kookier than I'd remembered. I was hoping for more normal chickenhood. But, as chickens are featured so little in TV/movies anyway you've got to give them some credit.

There should be a chicken portion for the Planet Earth series, done in that style. I can just picture the slow-mo rooster stretching his head up to crow.....just like the majestic whales breaching in the sunlight.......they should totally do it.

You're right - it's not about the history at all. LOL It was listed under Quirky TV Shows, and I was just looking for something to have on while I was doing some housework, so I gave it a try. It was funny but not a history lesson, that's for certain. My favorite part was the lady who gives her pet Silky a bath and then she uses a blow dryer to dry him. :)

My DD likes to watch it, surrounded by her favorite Seramas in assorted carriers.
