We drained with a needle this morning about 70 mls from one of our Andalusian Blues belly that has fluid in it. All of what I have read and seen on YouTube is a clear yellow liquid. Her liquid was milky yellow, like watered down pale yellow yolk. Can anyone tell me what the difference is and what to expect? Information appreciated!

Thanks for the link. I figured it was a heart problem until I pulled the fluid. Then I thought internal laying. She's on antibiotics and we will keep draining her to keep her comfortable.

What antibiotics and how much? Just drained my girl today and had milky yellow also. I was expecting clear yellow like the YouTube videos!!!!

It sounds like there may be some blood in it. Could it have been from the needle stick? Just guessing but she may have fatty liver (hemorrhagic) disease or even cancer. Most times we don’t know the exact cause until after death when we open the belly to look at the organs, or have our state vet lab do a more professional necropsy. You can post pictures of a necropsy here.
