Hi Everyone-
I am a current TOPS member and I love my chapter.
I have been in TOPS for 18 months and have lost 40 lbs!

The road to success with any weight loss is filled with potholes, bumps, and ups and downs in the road. I would like to start a discussion on BYC about what has worked for others in their weight loss journey. You do not have to be a TOPS member to post here.
My weight loss journey is a lifestyle change and not, I repeat not a Diet.

Tops has worked for me because of the nonjudgemental support of the other members. The fact that I know that I will be weighing in every week and am accountable to myself, and to not ignore the scale as I had done in the past.

I like many others have been on numerous diets and have lost weight only to have it sneak back when I have gone off the diet, plus some extra. I got tired of the yo- yo dieting and knew that the only thing that had consistantly worked before was when I had had a support group in one of my previous diets. I had heard of Tops but had not taken the time to investigate further. I found out that TOPS is extremely inexpensive and has been around for a long time. With the support of my TOPS friends I have changed my eating habits, exercise, and water consumption, and the pounds are coming and staying off.

My only regret about TOPS is that I did not join sooner.

I would like to hear others success stories, and what is helping you to lose weight and to get healthier for life.

I have had chickens for years and LIVE them. I just joined Tops and have went twice. Everyone is so supportive and nice. I did take off 1 1/2 lbs my first week and hope to do so every week. I do like that they don;t make you feel bad if you don't gain or stay the same:)

Yeah I am glad that you are going, and congrats on the weight loss!! You will keep losing by going on a regular basis. I have noticed that if I miss a meeting or two, that since I didn't have the support from that week that I can feel myself slipping back into old bad habits.

The support of the other members and the nonjudgmental attitude really does help.

I like the weekly weighing in and not having to pay a fortune for it also ~:>

Are you still going to Tops? How are you doing? With all of our extra, rainy February and now March my weight loss had slowed, but I am now losing steady again. I just went to a training meeting as I have agreed to become the leader of our group. I got energized again just being around the other Tops and Kops ( Keep off Pounds Sensibly) people.

Hi,

I am currently trying to find information concerning TOPs weight loss. I have learned that there is a group which meets in my area, and I am interested in joining. I was searching on google and ran across your thread, so I wanted to touch base with you. I'm not even sure what I would like to ask, but would really like to correspond with someone who is involved in the TOPs program. Would you recommend this program? I've been involved in other weightloss programs in the past, and I haven't done very well. However, I am so ready for a change in my lifestyle.

Thanks for any information or encouragement you can send along.
