I have two wet bulb thermometers, and their reading both match each other...
doing the relative humidity charts & calculations ... For my hatching room I come out with 75% RelHumidity, but my digital hygrometer reads 50%, and a petco analog hygrometer reads 40% ... so what is the issue here? Anyone do a similar comparison...I want to
trust the wet/dry bulb readings more than the digital hygrometer readings ... what do you
think ? Next step is to put the wetbulb thermometer in the incubator to see what
reading I am getting in there.

Wet bulb requires air movement to work . You will need a fan to take reading of rooms relative humidity. Won't work in still air incubator. Wet bulb is the best way to calibrate digital hygrometer in my opinion.

Anyone here using a wet bulb/dry bulb thermometer setup in a brinsea oct20 eco ?
If so wondering what you are using, and how you have it setup...if you have any photos
might be helpful.

I now have two GQF Cabinet Incubators With the 3018 Thermometer/ Hygrometer. The thermometer is very accurate from what I see and switching both back and forth read the exact same. The hygrometer should come with a wick. Cotten sock that is meant for it. You can buy them on eBay etc. If not. I have yet to confirm the hygrometer reading is correct but I think it is. I will write back when I know. I have hatched thousands of eggs and have learnt to never trust anything digital past first hatch. That includes digital readings on tabletop incubators and I have tried all kinds. They all fail after being exposed to prolonged 75% humidity levels. Maybe one with a probe might be better. I have also learnt to not trust anything but GQF. Little giant circulated air is garbage! always kills half my eggs or more! can’t get hold temp without a towel on it. Same goes for the farm innovators pro. Garbage! Kids toy. Then hava bator side by side 98% hatch rates! 90% minimum always. So I bout 2 more hova bators! All great. So I then bought a 2006 or older GQF cabinet sportsman. Excellent! Got that while I waited for my 1202E to arrive. It’s amazing too. Older is better than new IMO. Mechanical is more reliable than digital for most things. When it comes to high humidity, digital starts to corrode clearly. Don’t hesitate. GQF is the only brand I will go with from now on. It saves time, money, eggs, heartache and stressing. Set it and forget it. I hear Brinsea is good also. But overpriced it seems. Hard to beat 98% hatch rate. I think I will tweak it to 100% sometimes.

Also the cart for wet bulb is if incubator is 100°f as it should be. Use 100 at top of the chart. Then read what the wet bulb temp says after it as wicked up water and settled for awhile. It should be lower reading like 91 for example. So follow 100 down till you reach the 91 line. Where the Column meets the row, that’s your % relative humidity. I’m pretty positive on that. Just started with my wet bulb readings though.
