What are other options besides water belly?

It is much easier to catch them and medicate them in the evening while on the roost when it is getting dark or before daylight. I use a red light on my head lamp while having every thing in hand. But since she needs to calcium now, I would hid it in a small portion of egg. Crush it into small pieces if possible. Cream cheese or peanut butter, or liverwurst are also good things in which to hide medicine, but egg is a good one that they like and is nutritious.
Thanks I do the early morning if I get up early enough. I have calcium capsules so I just broke one and sprinkled it on the scrambled egg. Hardest part was keeping the other hen away from "the medicine". Happy to report I saw her drinking water for the first time in a long time a few hours later. Will report back with any significant changes. I really appreciate the advice as we have no poultry vets nearby and I'd much rather do a natural approach if possible. I read someone claimed to have cured water belly with garlic, Vit C, D, and oregano oil, so I'm going to continue with those with caution as well.
