I have looked and looked there is not much online. We have these baby bantams from rural king and I have no clue what breed or gender. Thought maybe female buff Cochin bantam but I’m not sure. First time bantam owner here!

There is no gender promise unless professional does the vent sexing..that is the most accurate i have heard of. But, tho many many will tell you what we do is not good.. we were just so excited about our little babies and didnt want to get desperately attached to 5 roosters! Haha after trying several ways that worked for others we were disappointed-- the one we have found has worked for us for 5
hatchings for 2 springs now and have not been wrong on any of them!
When chix are 7 days old (some say up to 10 days) but we were told to do it on day 7 and since it has worked we continue that way. On day 7 look at the tail feathers. The girls will already have obvious little tail feathers. The boys will still be round fluff with no tail feathers. And if you continue to watch your cute ones closely you will see as they grow to 8 weeks to 12 weeks the girls will still have lots more tail feathers.. about 3 mos to 4 mos you can no longer use the tails. But by then there are several other tell tale signs to go by!
GOOD LUCK! hope it works for you! Or that some of these smart chix guru's will offer you a better way!
