Thank you, that is very interesting information, I’m hoping to hatch some chicks from his ladies who I think the black may be australorp and is pretty grey/ blueNo way to know the breeds in him for sure, but I can talk about color:
he appears to be "golden," meaning he has one copy of the silver gene and one of gold, making his gold feathers a sort of yellowy straw color. Due to the way chicken genetics work, that color can only occur when mom carries silver and dad carries gold/golden.
Because the golden color outlines some of the black feathers, he's also probably birchen patterned.
