Hi everyone,

Would anyone happen to know what breed of rabbit this is? She's 2 years old and we got her from a friend that got her from the RSPCA shelter, they're saying she's a New Zealand White but I've got a New Zealand rabbit already and she's far bigger than that. This one is very small, has a big head with a longer coat then a shorter packed body coat.

Here are some photos of her.

Thank you all :)

That's what I was thinking too but don't lionheads have a much bigger mane or some types are less fluffy than others, I mean she looks adorable either way and super friendly!

Single mane lionhead. Single mane are born with much less “mane” around their neck. It’s not uncommon that as they grow they will lose the mane completely leaving them just a little fluffier than your standard rabbit. Without the mane they somewhat resemble a semi-long haired netherland dwarf.

Lion heads can be single or double maned. Single is less fluffy around the neck and as they age sometimes they will lose the “mane”. They still are somewhat fuzzier than a standard rabbits coat and only have one copy of the mane gene. Double maned have two copies of the gene and have the signature super fluffy flowing lion like manes.
