I ordered 10 Easter Eggers from Tractor Supply/Hoovers Hatchery. They did not send me Easter Eggers. Hoovers have not answered the question of what birds were sent to me, only telling me they dont sell Sexlinks. Well, they do sell Golden Comets and ISA Browns and they are pretty much the same. I am still unsure though. Does anyone know if these are in fact ISA Browns or Golden Comets? They have changed so much in the last 3 weeks, I keep doubting my Chick Identifying skills. I've added pictures of them now vs. When I got them 3 weeks ago.

Right, I was pretty frustrated when I specifically asked and they sent "We don't sell Sexlinks" as the reply. They are supposed to be sending the Easter Eggers next week, fingers crossed no more issues.
Yeah...I wish you had gotten those EE's. Red Sex-Links often die after 2-3 years of production due to reproductive issues...I hope they aren't pets!

I would never had ordered any type of Sexlink for that very reason. We are currently rebuilding our flock now that we have a home again to do so. We lost our last flock in the Camp Fire in Paradise Ca in November 2018. I love all of my birds and knowing these have such a short life really is hard for many reasons. Right now I have 39 chicks and 6 laying hens. If they send the Easter Eggers next week, I will have 49 Chicks. Holy cow thats a lot of new babies...lol

Oh my! I'm so glad you have a home again, and I'm sorry you lost your flock in the fire. I'm sorry you lost anything in the fire, but I'm glad you (and I hope) your family are all fine. I'm quite near you and my cousin lives in Magalia! I have an egg business here off of Lumpkin Road on the South Fork of the Feather River called Peppercorn Acres. Currently 43 chickens and 15 in the incubator! You have more chickens than I do right now! Nice to meet you! :hugs

We relocated to Idaho after the fire. We still own our land, However my kids couldn't go home. It was to traumatic for them. One day we will rebuild on our land, but probably not for a little while. Very nice to meet you too ❤❤

That's crazy they told you they dont have sex-links. Everyone knows ISA Browns are sex-links and on their website they even call Golden Comets sex-links twice! I cant help with which type but they are red sex-links.
Hopefully your EE arrive with no issues
