I incubated these chicks

I had a dozen Easter eggers from a friend that were Lavender Orpington, Prairie Bluebell, and Easter Egger mix

I have two that are Bielefelder over lavender Orpington from my own farm

One that is a bielefelder over a Lavender/Buff Orpington mix

And two should be pure bielefelder

Guesses on who came from what?

Bielefelder over lavander Orpington will give black chicks with head spots. There could be some brown mixed in, which would show in the faces of the chicks.

The same is true with Bielefelder male over lavender x buff Orpington, but you're more likely to see brown shades in that chick.

Any black ones without the head spot/barring are likely EEs.

I think the last two must be your Bielefelders.

All other brown chicks are probably EEs.

The last one is a very unique coloring. I don’t think it’s pure bielefelder! It has gray and yellow. I’m in love with it! It’s unique. But the one above it has a twin and I think those two are the bielefelder I’ve seen those before.
