What can chickens eat?

Is cooked ham and cooked yellow potatoes okay for my chickens to eat?

chickens can eat darn near anything that is edible by people. ... ham may be a bit salty, but as long as it's just scraps and not a constant diet, sure. OMG you will love this one. question is what can't chickens eat... chickens will even eat cooked chicken.. I know it's gross but they will..
Ok here is the story..
I grew up on a farm raising chickens, greandmother had an egg farm so I really never got attached to the chickens..

So I asked my husband last year what do you think about getting a few chickens, my game plan was. they eat grubs, kitchen scraps, bugs from the garden. and they are great for fertilizer since I try to be as organic as I can.. well we get 6 baby chicks a week before easter, raise them in the house. I catch my husband talking to them.. then saying stupid chickens.. HEHE Hooked.. so now they are older and outside.. I come home from work he's already outside giving them water and digging up worms.. okay that good he turns around sees me and says Stupid Chickens.. now they are moved into the bigger house( that he built and spent way more money on than I would..
then turns around and says stupid chickens. Now they are out in there yard he asks do we have to go and put the chickens in. I said no it's dusk they are already in.. ( he says nothing) we go close up the coop for the night.. now the next night we go to close up the coop. he turns to me and says. what do we have for the chickens. I said nothing I cleaned out the fridge already.. he pulls out a big pan puts water in it and makes a pot of spaghetti ( Just for the Chickens) now when I make dinner I have to make enough for us, the Dog, and now the chickens.. they really Love Steak and hamburgers.

so yes you can feed your chickens just about anything just be carefull of stuff with too much Mold..

Just got finished feeding them an egg and bacon taco and an egg and sausage taco, no salsa of course. Chickens are the ultimate eating machines, my dogs and cats are foaming at the mouth.

What is the best way to feed them egg? I know it is good for laying hens. Scrambled eggs?

Ham and potatoes are perfectly safe to feed your chooks. : )
