What color are Magpie Duck eggs?

I found an egg in the yard this evening when going to put the ducks in their house. I have 3 female Magpies and one Male but am not sure if this was really their egg or my husband is playing a prank on me!!! I have been waiting for these ducks to lay an egg!! LOL

Here's a pic of my Magpie's egg.

In comparison to chicken eggs.

Duck eggs are bigger, thicker shell, with waxy surface. My Magpie's eggs are kind of a cream color. Holderread's book says they can be white or bluish shelled.

Yup, he came home from baseball with my son and as soon as I mentioned it I could tell he put the egg out there! Not nice! I have been waiting and waiting for them to lay their first egg. LOL

My Magpie started laying at about 21 weeks. How old are your hens?

No, that isn't nice!

Mine are around 19 weeks. A little early I think, but still hopeful they will start laying soon!

i'd think this might be a real magpie egg, mine just started laying ones that look exactly the same

my magpie's eggs are white and a little bigger than the welsh harlequins

my magpie's eggs are light green with the tiniest hint of blue to them. I looked it up and read that Magpie eggs are blue,green ,white or cream.

My Magpie started laying at 5 months.My Cayuga started laying at 4 months.

I wonder if one duck can lay all those colors during the season.. I got Ellie as a rescue in Feb.. and when she started laying a few months later eggs were white.. Guess I'll see when she starts laying again in a few weeks..
