We have four new pullets this summer. A Black Star, a Dominique, an Australorp and an Austra White.
It's time the were laying now. In fact our Black Star is giving us a lovely dark speckled egg nearly every day now.
The Austra White (we think) is laying little white eggssome in the nesting box, most in the yard. We've isolated her in the coop with golf balls in the nesting boxes to encourage her to lay there. This morning we had her in there and I found a little white egg out in the yard. The Austra White had been out there for just a minute or so, but not long enough to lay an egg (or was it?). Do any of you think it's possible that a white egg could have come from the Dominique or the Australorp?
