What do ducks eat????

A relative of mine got my aunt 3 ducks…….. without asking her…….. she didn’t want waterfowl for her birthday. I guess I’ve got a reputation as a bird collector, but I’ve never raised ducks before! Should I feed them chicken food or gamebird food?

If they are young and you do not feed a diet specifically formulated for ducks, any feed will need Niacin supplementation. There are some thoughts that high protein levels can cause angel wing - I am not certain about that.

How old are they.
They eat the samething as chickens, they just require more Niacin for proper development.

Feeds with extra supplemented Niacin include Dumor Chick Starter/Grower feed, Purina Flock Raiser, & Nutrena Naturewise All Flock Pellets.
I feed ducks either one of these, or a couple different ones.

Haven't needed to add any extra Niacin with these feeds.

They look like my White Pekings.

White something, could be pekins or a white layer breed. My buff might have been a similar yellow, but I think she still looked different than my pekins
