Our rooster was born with his head and neck over on the side of his body. We didn't think he would make it, but he's kept on growing and surviving. Well today he has been getting his head stuck completely upside down and we keep having to fix it. When we lift him up a few inches off the ground, he is able to move his head back to the right position. But when it is twisted around, he just lies down.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here is a picture:

He actually rotates his head a full 360 degrees.

Here are some more pictures. Some are a bit blurry.

Here he is when his head is back to normal.

Torticolis or wry neck is a neurological symptom, that can be from a vitamin E/selenium deficiency at hatch, from heredity, from a brain injury, and due to to certain infectious diseases. I've never seen a case so long-standing before. I would treat with a good poultry vitamin supplement such as Poultry Nutri-Drench or Poultry Cell that contain vitamins B1, E, and selenium. Eggs and chopped nuts are also good sources of selenium. A vet may also prescribe prednisone for him. Since this has been going on a while it might not be reversible, but I really hope that you can help him. Here are some links to help you:
