We got him a few months ago at a flea market, after We lost our last rooster, and we just don’t know what breed he is.
Now we have a few of his baby’s with the other girls but we don’t know what hehe is, and the babies seem like they got a lot of their genes from their dad. Some of the girls I know are Red R Island , there is just this one other one that I don’t know what he/her is?? So here’s some pics.. thx

Ok , now I’m confused, I guess time will tell, now since the little chicks are mix , how often will they go with more traits from one or the other , or is just a 50/50 chance.

CCLB roosters have 2 blue egg genes. Each pullet will recieve one blue from dad and one brown from mom. Blue eggs are a dominant allele, resulting in green egg layers.

50/50 chance for gender. Pullets will lay green or slightly blue eggs, thats a given.

If you proceed to cross the pullets from this cross with a Welsummer rooster or Maran rooster, 50% of the chicks from that offspring will lay olive and the rest will lay brown.

I agree with all this. That is, assuming he’s pure CCLB. If the female offspring lay brown eggs that will tell you that he’s not pure.
