Alright. I had 2 turkey poults. One white palm and one bourbon red (so I was told). The white palm disappeared one day from the run/coop. Now all we have is one little lone poult, but I can't tell if it's a boy or girl? I am new to turkeys.

I tried the vent check but no idea what I was looking for. Poor thing lol. I believe the poult is about 3 months old ish. What do I look for? 👀

It's still a little too young to sex from photos. It does appear to be a Bourbon Red that is just starting to get it's adult feathers. The darker red feathers on it's side look to be adult feathers.

Bourbon Reds with their adult feathers are easy to sex. The hen's adult breast feathers will have a light colored lower edge and the tom's adult breast feathers will have a dark colored lower edge.

The juveniles breast feathers for both sexes will have a light colored lower edge.

Oh cool! I am new to turkey life. I got roped in by getting chickens. Then ducks. I do need to find this little one a buddy though. It's the only turkey. We nicknamed him/her Gobbles until we figure out which gender it is.

It appears to me to be a jake? The beginning of spurs and the snood is starting to get bigger.

If you look closely, you can see a blue tail band. She is a Blue Red Bronze.
