What type of cochins

I have two minis, a hen and a rooster. I think the rooster is a Partridge, but I’m not sure.
The hen is just said to be a Japanese breed. No idea what that could mean. Her mother was black, and her dad was red.

I think I’m totally clueless. I thought Cochins reference mini chickens generally?

Bantams refer to small chickens in general. Bantam cochins are a breed.

Nope. The term for mini chickens is Bantam. Cochin is just one breed.
It looks like they’re mixed breeds. I think you’re right that the one hen has some Japanese bantam in her.
