My boyfriend's cousin got his kids these three chicks at a flea market, but got tired of caring for them (ugh) and gave them to me. I'm not complaining, they're adorable and very friendly. Anyone want to hazard a guess at breeds? The white mottled one has feather legs (albeit not much) and a rose comb. The brown one has beautiful penciling, like a partridge, and the black is just completely nondescript black. I think they're about 4 weeks old.

The one on left and the one on right look to be EE cockerels. That's coloring for both is male and the middle could be an australorp but most likely a mix breed coming from the flea market and could be male, not that I see anything that suggest that now but peeps don't usually sell pullets at the flea markets IMO.

New pics change my opinion, I d didn't notice the even pattern before on chick on left, I'm saying pullet as long as it stays even

That stripe on top of the head, don't some sex linked breeds have that in males?

I do think the white mottled one is probably a male, the comb is just too colored for me to believe it's a female. The other two don't really give me anything to believe either male or female. I'd really be happy if one was an EE pullet!

Fyi, the white mottled one and the black one have been fighting each other all week. Non existent spurs up and everything :th But the third one I'm still holding out as a girl.

Now that I'm known as the chicken lady, I've had 2 other people drop off a total of 4 other chicks, so I'm hoping one of those is a girl too, so I can keep a pair.

Thanks again for your help :)
