When can guineas free range unsupervised?

I’ve been letting my 6 week old guineas out for a few hours a day for the past week. They oddly prefer to be close to the shed I’ve had them in and go in and out all day. I have to encourage them to come to our yard. Anyway, I’ve been out keeping a close eye on them because we have hawks and coyotes and a giant (and I mean giant) feral, ex-Tom cat mouser in the barn. They’re closing in on 7 weeks and french guineas, so they’re decent sized. When is it safe to just let them be?

Guinea fowl aren't the smartest, so technically it's never safe to let them roam with predators around. Just saying.
unless they're supervised by a hen.
They're otherwise ready at a month, two months if you want to play it safe.

I usually don't let my young guineas totally free range until they are close to full grown, around 3 months old. Unless they are with the mama and the rest of the adult flock. I will let them explore around the chicken yard when I am able to be with them.
I have found that young guineas won't go far from their 'safe area' for their 1st summer and fall unless they are with adult guineas.. ;)
